: David Lee Montrose, 78, of Marengo, Ohio passed away June 2, 2023. David was born on September 3, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to his parents Robert Montrose and Dorothy (Hape) Craig. On September 3, 1976 he married his soulmate Jill Gruber and together they shared 46 years of marriage. Left to miss him are his loving wife Jill Montrose; daughters Cynthia (Mark) Vrabel; Sandra (Nels) Studlien; son David (Orie) Montrose Jr.; grandchildren Michael, Abby, Joseph (Sara), Jacob (Savannah), Madison, Zackary and Kyle; also nephews Mark (Amanda) and Christopher. David joins in rest his parents Robert Montrose, Dorothy Craig and his sister Roberta Bellamy. David worked for TWA at the Columbus Airport most of his life. He held a private pilot’s license and owned his own plane which inspired adventure. David loved the outdoors, especially camping and sailing with his wife where they made many lifelong friends. He was a hard and dedicated worker. When he was not at work or on one of their many adventures, he found plenty of projects at home. David loved his life and his family. He will be greatly missed.
