Philip D. Casa, age 77, of New Albany, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, following a long illness. A lifelong resident of Central Ohio, Philip (Phil to his friends) was a longtime member of the local business community, particularly as owner of Massey's Pizza, the Columbus favorite he helped to turn into an institution. After selling his business in 1999, Philip spent most of his time as a devoted family man. He is fondly remembered for his generosity, his sense of humor, and his love for good food and karaoke, where he indulged his affection for the hits of Frank Sinatra. Philip is preceded in death by his parents Guido and Ruth Casa, and sister Leona DiCesare. He leaves behind his beloved wife Sandy Taylor; children Dena Casa-Hott, Dan Petkovic (Tracey), and Angela Clark (Paul); grandchildren Alysha Ethell, Alexus Searls, Alizebeth Searls-Smith, Ethan Joyner, and Hadley Petkovic; great-grandchildren Hunter Searls, Gannon Searls, Onnika Ethell, and Jonah Smith; and innumerable cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
