Lynn Swearingen Sczesny of Heath, Ohio passed peacefully surrounded by her children on January 19, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Swearingen and Marvene Lewis. A devoted mother and grandmother, Lynn’s life was shaped by deep love, quiet generosity, and an abiding belief in kindness. For many years, Lynn taught at Worthington Estates Elementary School, where she built a classroom defined not only by learning but by care, imagination, and warmth. She treasured her years co-teaching with Bobbie Davis and delighted in her students, whose lives she touched with patience and empathy. Her classroom, often alive with beloved pets and thoughtful touches, reflected her conviction that learning should be joyful and a little bit magical. Family was Lynn’s truest center. She is survived by her children, Marcus and Mallory Sczesny, who were her greatest pride. She found pure joy in her granddaughters, Flynn Delaney and Sloan Eloise Sczesny, savoring simple moments together—tea parties, quiet cuddles during Bluey, and shared snackies that felt like small celebrations. An ardent animal lover, Lynn believed a home should hum with life. Her springer spaniels were cherished companions, and her compassion extended naturally to all creatures, great and small. Lynn will be remembered for her gentleness, her steady strength, and the care she offered so freely to others. Her presence leaves an enduring imprint on those who knew her, a legacy carried forward in love, learning, and kindness.
