Patrick Michael McGaughey passed away suddenly on February 22, 2013 and has been welcomed in to the arms of our Lord. He was born on August 23, 1982, and though Patrick’s life was short, his presence enriched those that he touched. Patrick preferred a simple existence. He was a talented carpenter employed by Nicholson Builders. Those that knew Patrick accepted his bravado, he was kind-hearted, humble, and always genuine . Preceded in death by maternal grandfather Martin D. Young, paternal grandfather Donald F. McGaughey; survived by parents Michael, and Lindy; brother, Bryan; beloved daughter, Annalyn (mother Keeley Harrold); the love of his life, Alison Maxwell and son Jaxson Cross; maternal grandmother, Margie Young and paternal grandmother, Ann McGaughey; aunts, Teri (Mike ) Oconnor, Cindi (Paul) Ornstein, Francine (Robert) Still, Diane Scharfstein, Denise (Roy) Bauchmoyer); uncles, David (Penny) McGaughey, Mark (Dawn) McGaughey, Mathew (Kandi) McGaughey; cousins, Nicole, Kristofer, Sean, Alison, Mark, Jennifer, Kelly, Kyle, David, Timothy, Casey, Evan, Kevin, and Jason. Patrick leaves many friends and acquaintances behind. So many of us love Patrick and he will be missed deeply. Let us not grieve the loss of Patrick, but rejoice for the gift and meaning he brought to us all. Patrick’s life was far too short, though he is blessed to have been called home. His spirit will live with our Holy Father in eternity.
