Smullen Cynthia Marie "Cindy" Smullen (née Vincenti) of Worthington died, surrounded by her loved ones, on June 24, 2016 at the age of 46. Cindy was born on August 6, 1969 in Avon Lake, OH to Dennis and Catherine (née Bleser) Vincenti. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1987 and married Greg Smullen in 1996. Her life's work was her children. Cindy was a caring, fun-loving, outgoing person whose extraordinary laugh was contagious. She loved being with her family and friends, listening to Neil Diamond songs, and spending time at the beach. She lived for her family, especially her three children, whom she adored. Her positive attitude and courageous spirit were hallmarks of her personality, which made her an inspiration to others. In spite of her illness, she never complained and always maintained a bright smile and a kind word. She beat cancer every day for the past nine years in how she lived, why she lived, and the way she lived. Cindy is survived by her husband, Greg; children, Jake, Abby, and Emme; mother, Catherine Vincenti of Dublin, OH; siblings, Michael Vincenti of Charlotte, NC, Chris (Jim) Barone of Shaker Heights, OH, Anthony (Erica) Vincenti of Sicklerville, NJ; father-in-law, Kenneth (Mary Jensen) Smullen of Worthington, OH; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Nancy) Smullen of Worthington, OH, Andrew (Melissa) Smullen of Worthington, OH, Timothy (Diane) Smullen of Worthington, OH; and nieces and nephews, Daniel, Jack, Rosalie, Alaina, Gabrielle, Brixton, Alexandra and Lauren. She is preceded in death by her father Dennis Vincenti, and her mother-in-law Lorraine Smullen. Cindy's family would like to thank Dr. Charles Shapiro and Dr. Bhuvaneswari Ramaswamy, as well as the excellent nurses at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center for the care Cindy received over the years.
