: Leana “Kathy” Bruno, Aunt Kak, age 82, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026, at Worthington Christian Village after a brief illness. She was born October 26, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Leonard and Virginia Bruno. Kathy graduated from Worthington High School class of 1961 and was active with their alumni association. She also graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Franklin University. She was employed by Worthington Foods and retired from Nationwide Insurance. Kathy was an avid horse owner and long-time member of the Ohio Horseman’s Council Delaware Chapter. She raised, rode, showed and judged horse events throughout Ohio. She won many competitions with her horse “Brimstone." She was a passionate animal owner and volunteered as a docent at the Columbus Zoo for many years. She was most proud of her trips to Africa with Jack Hanna and the Columbus Zoo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Virginia Bruno and brothers Kent and Kevon Bruno. Kathy is survived by her brother Keith (Vi) Bruno and many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many lifelong friends. She is at peace now and is riding her horses in heaven and catching up with her family and all of her pets.
