- Steve was a member of the Marching Band, Stage Band, Children’s Plays, The phoenix Staff, and other things. He could play almost every instrument he picked up and tried to play. He could sight read music, too. Not only did he save my life twice, but more than one person (at his calling hours) told me how Steve picked up two children (one under each arm) and got them out of the high school when there was a fire during a practice of The Children’s Play (and the closest entrance was chained shut). That was typical of Steve. He was an Eagle Scout. He was always thinking of other people. Of course, I’m biased. He was a wonder Paul big brother.
