: Frederick Stevens Potter (Steve), age 87 of Westerville, died Saturday March 29 at the Danbury of Westerville. He was born in Worthington on Feb 3, 1938 to the late Joseph Collins and Margaret Dorothy (Little) Potter. He was a graduate of the Worthington HS Class of "46. He then went on to Ohio State University, where he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and won a Varsity O Letter in lacrosse. After initially working for General Electric in various cities, he went into the construction business and joined his father at Potter Builders Incorporated in 1970. He became President of the Company and managed both Potter Builders and Potter Homes for the balance of his working life. Steve was the President of the local BIA Chapter in 1987 and the Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club in 1999. He is preceded in death by his wives Barbara Jean (Sauvary) Potter who passed away on March 31, 2016 and Barbara Ann (Nelson) Potter who passed away on December 10, 2024. Steve is survived by his son Joseph Potter (Forrester) of Rockville, VA, daughter Susan Lee Bass (Ronnie) of Golden, TX and Foster son David Finley of Woodbridge, VA as well as seven grandchildren.
