Scott Lee Crippen, 56, of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Scott was born on March 6,1968 in Royal Oak, Michigan where he grew up until he moved to Worthington, Ohio during high school. He graduated from Thomas Worthington High School in 1986 where he then went on to attend Wright State University. While at Wright State, Scott obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree. It was at Wright State, where he met Krista. Though this relationship was not permanent, they married and had 2 children together and remained friends after. He was a long-time employee of A&R Wireless where he worked as a Tower Technician. He spent his career building and maintaining cellular towers across the country. Despite living in the buckeye state, Scott was never shy to let anyone know he was "the biggest Michigan fan in the the state of Ohio." He also had a newfound love for the Ole Miss Rebels as it is where his daughter attends. He was an avid deer hunter who also loved fishing and all things animals. He was a walking encyclopedia and was quick to share his knowledge with everyone around. A game of golf with his family was something he would never pass up. He enjoyed being outside in nature while also having a passion for art. He loved spending his days listening to rock music and watching movies. Scott was one to never be fearful of a good conversation with anyone around him. His social skills made it easy for everyone to enjoy his presence. Scott also had the biggest and brightest smile that was just as contagious as his laugh. Alex and Erica, his children, were the highlights of his life. Scott is survived by his children: Alexander Crippen, Erica Crippen, mother: Nancy E. Crippen, brother: Howard Crippen III, nieces, nephew, and former wife: Krista Crippen (Alexander). He was preceded in death by his father: Howard Crippen II and his beloved dogs: Toco, Kramer, Katie, and Kozmo.
