Phyllis Lee Quelette, 86, passed away peacefully January 28, 2023 with her husband of 66 years, Bob, and youngest daughter, Nicole by her side at their home. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her husband Bob Quelette, their daughters; Robin Lee (Daniel) Williams, Michelle Renee (Jeffrey) Rice and Nicole Elizabeth (Doug) Hess. Phyllis is survived by her brother Alden (Connie) McGee and joins in rest their parents Curtis and Ruth McGee and her late son-in-law, John Scanlan. She is also pre-deceased by her and Robert’s son Bobby, her stepmother Beth McGee and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to her husband, children and brother, Phyllis is survived by her grandchildren Joshua and Jesse (Emily) Rice, Griffin (Alyssa Timpson) and Madison (Ronny Moses) Scanlan, Lauren Kesner (Paul) and Justin and Nick Hess. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Eastyn and Chloe Rice, Haliegh and Brooklyn Moses and Liam Kesner. Phyllis is survived by sister-in-law Sally Woods, brother-in-law Nick Quelette and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis attended Worthington High School where she met Bob October 29, 1951. They were married December 29, 1956 and created a life together worth celebrating. Phyllis was working co-owner of the Sunberry Antique Mall which stood as a testament to her inherent eye for value and beauty. She was also very active in the Big Walnut community for years as a manager of the crafts department of Shaw Pharmacy and volunteered for many events and organizations. Phyllis was a devout Catholic and was active in her Women's Church Club. In 1995 Phyllis retired from her business, The Sunberry Antique Mall, in Sunbury,Ohio, of which she was a partner with four friends. She and husband, Bob, retired to Manning, South Carolina. Here they became charter members of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church where she served two terms as President of the Women’s Club, and chaired the Annual Fall Parish Picnic for a few years. She was a member and part owner of the Wyboo Golf Club. She enjoyed golfing, boating, reading, her home and many loving friends and neighbors.
