Our beloved mother and grandmother, Melody Jean (Farquer) Liebert, age 75, entered God’s Kingdom on Friday, March 29, 2024 surrounded by family at Kobacker House after a short battle with lung cancer. Melody’s journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, playful spirit, quick wit and the positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Melody was born to Charles Farquer and Imogene Withers on March 14, 1949 in Middletown, Ohio. When Melody was a teenager, she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she graduated from Worthington High School in 1967. Melody had a long and accomplished career as an administrative assistant for both Wendy’s brand Sister’s Chicken & Biscuits and Parker Hannifin Corporation. In addition to spending time with her loved ones, Melody enjoyed life’s little adventures - scenic drives, walks through the trails in Hocking Hills and Dawes Arboretum and listening to music. More than anything, Melody cherished the company of her grandchildren. Melody joins her sister, Tami Farquer, and parents, Charles and Imogene, in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including her daughters, Michelle (Larry) Spears of Dublin, Ohio and Andrea Osborne of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Michael Chhabra, Matthew Chhabra, Anne Marie Spears, John Osborne and Patrick Osborne; sister Lori Kakaris and brother Charles Farquer II. Melody’s life will be celebrated at a private ceremony at a later date at Kingwood Memorial Park. Our family takes comfort in knowing Melody rests in eternal peace and we hope the joy of her memory brings relief to those who mourn her passing. We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who helped care for Melody in her final days.
