Donna J. French, 90, of Delaware passed away peacefully on Friday evening, February 9, 2024, at Grady Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 9, 1934, in Columbus to the late Charles and Florence (Bowman) Mick and later graduated from Worthington High School in 1952. On May 8, 1954, in Worthington, Ohio, she married the love of her life Robert French. Together they shared 46 years of marriage. Sadly, Robert passed away in 2000. A devoted and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Delaware, Donna was a records clerk for the Ohio Wesleyan University Alumni Office for 14 years retiring in 1995. She enjoyed spending time with her family, talking about antiques. She held every office of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in several different states over the years. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Craig (Vickie) French of Delaware; daughter, Cindy (Paul) Higgins of Delaware; grandchildren, Tiffany (Brandon) Stringer, Chris (Sara) French, Lori Higgins (Charles Spaulding), Jordan Higgins, and Danielle Oakley; great-grandchildren, Abigail, David, Ava, Bryden, Aubrey, Emma, Kayla, Gunner, and Madison; sister-in-law, Betty Mick of Florida; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Mick, sister Sue Fehler and her sister-in-law Libby Loeffler.
