: Rose Marie O'Brien, 94, of Powell Ohio, died of natural causes on July 30, 2023, in Lewis Center, Ohio. She was born on June 21, 1929, to George E. Sunderland and Nora M. Sunderland in Worthington, Ohio and graduated from Worthington High school. She was industrious throughout her life, first working in clothing sales, later helping her husband with bookkeeping for their O'Brien Plumbing & Heating business and eventually operating her own successful child daycare center in Powell, Ohio, where she resided for 49 years. Marie and John enjoyed travelling with their motorhome throughout most of the United States, often with their grandchildren. Marie was also a talented, award-winning watercolor artist, and enjoyed hosting birthdays and holidays for her family. Throughout her life she demonstrated great generosity and exemplified boundless love for others. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John E. O'Brien, her parents, George and Nora Sunderland, and her brothers, Willis and Raymond Sunderland. She is survived by her sons David Alan (and wife Melissa), John Cort, George Kelly (and wife Marifrances), and Matthew James. From these sons came 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
