eggy Sue, 73, passed away on Friday April 14 2023, in Oklahoma City. She was born February 4, 1950 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to James and Zelpha Austin and had 3 younger brothers- James, Steven, and David. Her family lived in several places in her childhood-Texas, Missouri, Idaho- before ultimately settling in Worthington, Ohio where she graduated from Worthington High School in 1969. She worked and retired from Highlights for Children, where she met her husband Roger McDaniel Jr. and they had one son, Roger McDaniel III. They lived and raised their son in her Worthington childhood home after her parents moved back to Oklahoma to the family farm. Peggy Sue was a life long Seventh Day Adventist, and a devout follower of Jesus Christ. She was an active member of several churches throughout her lifetime. Peggy Sue had such a vibrant personality. As an extrovert, there was nowhere she could go and not find a friend. She connected with everyone and everyone loved her and her magnetic personality in kind. She has left behind many friends and family from all over the country that she's met through her travels throughout her life. She was survived by her husband, Roger Jr., son Roger III (Alaine), mother Zelpha, brothers James, Steven (Leila), and David. She was predeceased by her father James.
