Deborah Lynn Jester of Worthington, Ohio, passed away on January 24, 2023. Debbie was born March 4, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to Gail Wetterauer and the late Carl Justice. Family was always the most important part of Debbie’s life. She leaves behind, her husband, Chad Jester, sons; Camden and Kellen, sister; Carey (Jeff) Cook, brother; Ryan Wetterauer, sister in-law; Kara Wetterauer (Joseph) Langston, brother-in-law, Brad (Missy) Jester, mother-in-law; Mim Jester, grandmother; Mary (Damon) Wetterauer, aunts; Ann Jones, Barb Jones, Molly Shere, Patty Bornheim, Della Macklin, Kathye Wetterauer, Drucie Fallon, and Julie (Ty) Barnes, uncles; Ken Fallon and Tommy Jones, many cousins; Dan, Steve, Cathy and Cindy Jones; Doug and Beth Jones; Becky, David and Stephen Shere; Patrick Bornheim; Madison Macklin; Karol, Rick and Dirk Wetterauer; Jennie and Doug Heine; Jami, Christina and Cassie Fallon; Shay Wetterauer and Alec Hertz, and her beloved nieces and nephews; Kylee Wetterauer Barthel and Katie Wetterauer; Bela Wetterauer, Jonah Wetterauer and Emersyn Langston; Ashley, Abbey, Carson, Camron, and Canaan Cook; and Tyler and Trent Jester. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by, her grandparents; Pat and Billie Jones, and Damon Wetterauer, adoptive father; Tuck Wetterauer, brother; Greg Wetterauer, father-in-law; Joe Jester, uncles; Mike Jones, Chip Wetterauer, and Bruce Heine, aunt; Lynn Heine, and her beloved furry friends; Bischon’s Mickey and Wolfie. Debbie was a graduate of Worthington High School. She earned her undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Georgia and master degrees from The Ohio State University and Ashland University. Debbie was a dedicated and accomplished elementary school teacher. She began her education career in Atlanta, Georgia before returning to her hometown and teaching in the Worthington City Schools. She deeply cared for the children entrusted to her and took great pride and joy in guiding each child’s learning journey. Debbie was passionate about life. She was always excited for each Ohio State Buckeye football season anticipating the next national championship. Debbie was highly competitive when on the tennis court with friends, or playing board games with her family. She loved traveling to both beaches and cities near and far, always embracing new experiences. And she loved to sing along to every song at country music concerts. Debbie was so giving and loved helping her friends, family and those in need.
