: It is with great sorrow we announce Troy has lost his life following a long struggle with addiction, just one week short of his 40th birthday. As a child, Troy was such a treasure filled with so much promise and joy. As an adult, he was intelligent, witty, fearless, and resilient. He was also a history enthusiast. He could talk your ear off about America’s history and often did. Troy attended Thomas Worthington High School and went on to the University of Cincinnati, where he graduated with honors. Troy cherished his travels abroad and pounding the pavement in New York City. He loved disc golf, tennis, playing his guitar, sports, and classical music. Anyone who knows Troy, knows of his devotion to his cat, Sofi. Preceded in death by his dad, Butch, Troy is survived by his mom, Sandy, and older brothers, Sean and Ryan, along with many family and friends. If you are struggling with addiction, he would tell you there is always hope. Never, ever give up. We will miss Troy every day of our lives.
